Meet the friendly staff at Silver Heights Veterinary Hospital!
Dr. Kahlon is Silver Height's primary veterinarian.
Dr. Kahlon graduated in 2008 from College of Veterinary Medicine at PAU in India. He immigrated to Canada in 2010, and completed the required examinations. In 2012, he started practicing at Stonewall Animal Hospital. He has a special interest in both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Dr, Kahlon is passionate about continuing education as, he likes to keep up to date on new techniques as veterinary medicine is always evolving and he puts his best effort in starting up and running Silver Heights Veterinary Hospital. In his spare time he likes to go to the gym and spend time with his wife and their son and Dog JETS. Jets is a Yorkshire terrier that keeps the entire family in check.
Jennifer works as a veterinary assistant and has been with the Winnipeg Veterinary Care Group since August 2011. Jenn has some educational background in human medicine, but decided working with animals was her forte. Jenn likes to get to know every client that comes in and tries to make there experience here the best it can be! In her spare time she likes to spend her time outdoors, with friends and with her two fur babies. Jenn has a big heart when it comes to animals, and fosters as much as she can for the local rescues as well! Annie is a 10 year old pom mix adopted from the Boston Terrier Pug Rescue and Jessie is an almost year old Shepherd mix adopted from Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue.
Caroline works as a Veterinary Assistant and has been in the veterinary field for 20 years! She is originally from England, and moved out here to Manitoba in 2013. She spends all her time outside of work at various ice rinks with her two children, who both play hockey. She has a twelve year old Labrador named Denzel, a one-year old rescue shepherd mix Dyson and a two-year old rescue cat Jedi.
Jenna has been apart of the Winnipeg Veterinary Care Group since 2016. After graduating from Robertson College as a Veterinary Assistant in 2015, she spent time volunteering at a local animal shelter. Jenna shows compassion for all animals and strives to make all visits a positive experience for pets. She enjoys traveling and hopes to continue to see and explore all parts of the world.
Rachel graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Ridgetown College in 2001. She has worked at a number of clinics here in Winnipeg and joined the Winnipeg Veterinary Care Group in 2016. She is excited to join the Silver Heights health care team in serving furry family members with the best possible preventive care possible. When not at work, you can find her spending time reading , hanging with her Balinese feline Zoey or crafting with the children in her life.
Amanda has been a pet stylist for more then 5 years now! Amanda got into grooming because she wanted to embrace her creative side and grooming was the perfect avenue to bring together her knowledge of pet care and creativity. She had started out volunteering at Winnipeg Humane Society over 10 years ago, where she received training in dog and cat behavior. Engaged to learn more, she furthered her understanding of dog psychology/behavior through working at multiple pet care facilities across the city. When not at work, Amanda likes to explore the outdoors and creative art. Some examples she likes are sketching, painting, singing and dancing.
